ÇANAKKALE' DE MUSTAFA KEMAL
25 Nisan 1915 tarihinde Arıburnu'na ( ANZAK KOYU ) Anzaklar çıkartma yapmıştı. Saat gece 24.00' te Kaymakam ( Yarbay ) Mustafa Kemal dinamit torbasını yanına aldı. Bu iş için, kimseye güvenememişti. Gece karanlığında sessizce siperlerin arasından süzüldü. Tepeyi aşıp sahile inmesi gerekti. Düşman çıkartma yaptığı sahilin etrafına pek çok nöbetçi koymuştu. Nöbetçilerin hal ve hareketlerini bir süre izlemeli ve her şeyden emin olduktan sonra, kampa nüfuz etmeliydi.

Gün dönmüş ve yeni gün yol alıyordu. Saat sabaha karşı 03.00 olmuştu. Mustafa Kemal, Anzakların orta yerdeki büyük cephanelik çadırına yan taraftan girdi. Nöbetçiler, ön kapı tarafındaydı. Konuşmaları duyuluyordu. Mustafa Kemal fitili uzun olan dinamiti çakmak taşlarını birbirine sürterek çıkardığı kıvılcımla tutuşturdu. Diğer dinamitlerin fitilini ateşlemek zor olmadı. Dinamitleri cephanelik çadırının dört köşesine yerleştirdikten sonra girdiği yerden dışarı çıktı. Bir an önce buradan gidebildiği kadar uzağa gitmeliydi. Az sonra dinamitler kampı yok edecekti. Gök gürültüsünün milyon katı büyüklüğünde bir patlama Çanakkale Boğazı'nı sardı. Patlama güvenlik sınırları dışına çıkmasına ramak kalan Mustafa Kemal'i boş geçmedi. O'nu yere düşürdü. Mustafa Kemal çabucak toparlandı fakat elbiseleri toz içindeydi. Aylardır Çanakkale'deydi ve üstü başı toz topraksız günü olmamıştı.

Özellikle Çanakkale Savaşlarında dört gün, beş gün uyumamak Mustafa Kemal için, sıradan bir olaydı. Şu gece dahil dört gecedir başını yastığa koymamıştı. Atına biner, o tepe senin, bu tepe benim koşturur dururdu. Gece yarısında yeni günün planını yapardı. Ben düşman komutanı olsam nereden çıkartma yapardım, diye düşünürdü. O bölgeleri muhakkak kontrol eder ve gerekli önlemi alırdı.
Mustafa Kemal daha sonra karargaha döndü. Patlamanın gürültüsüne Türk askerleri ayaklanmış ve tepeden aşağı ışıldayan gözlerle bakıyordu. Bu patlama da neyin nesiydi? Kampı darmaduman etmişti. Korkudan Türkler geliyor deyip kendini gemilerden boğazın soğuk ve karanlık sularına atan Anzaklar vardı. Madem Türklerden bu kadar korkuyorsun, İngiliz'e kanıp neden dünyanın bir ucundaki Avustralya'dan kalkıp Çanakkale'ye gelir ve Mustafa Kemal'e çarparsın be Anzak?
Türk subayları ve askerleri, Mustafa Kemal'i o halde görünce patlamanın sebebini anladı. Bu dünya tarihinin ve Çanakkale Savaşı'nın dönüm noktasıydı. Orada bulunanlar Mustafa Kemal'i tebrik ettiler. Böyle bir komutanları olduğu için, gurur duydular. Şimdi geleceğe daha bir umutla bakıyorlar ve Çanakkale'nin geçilemeyeceğine inanıyorlardı.
